I am over the moon!!!

I am over the moon!!! Thank you to all of my friends and family for your support. Thank you to Francine Poppo Rich of Blue Marlin Publications for publishing my book and for choosing such talented illustrators. And a special "thank you" to Learning Magazine and their committee of teachers who selected Sofia's Stoop Story: 18th Street, Brooklyn! 

My Uncle Frankie must be beaming.  He told my cousin, Liz, shortly before he passed away, that I was going to make him famous.  I certainly hope so!

This is the site...It was ten long minutes.  I even froze when Gail asked me to name some of the Boys of Summer.  Of course I could name some of the Brooklyn Dodgers, but I froze for what felt like five minutes.  Well, at least the rest of it went well.

That Meetball Place and 18th Street Book signings

I've been home recuperating from emergency gallbladder surgery on Friday, June 13th.  I feel very fortunate because I had heart failure symptoms.  I'm just so grateful it was my gallbladder and not my heart.  Well you don't want to read about this, but I'm sure you would like to see more photos from my last two signings. 

They are:  BIG Ralph from That Meetball Place and me; baby Lincoln on the stoop, his dad who's originally from Port Jefferson with me, and another adorable baby and her dad on 18th Street...
